During our Christmas stay, we really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of the accommodation. The property was beautifully decorated with a festive touch, making us feel right at home. the hosts were friendly and helpful, providing us with great recommendations for local attractions and activities. The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area, with stunning countryside views and easy access to walking trails. And to top it off, the breakfast served each morning was delicious, giving us a great start to our day.
One downside of our Christmas stay was the lack of amenities in the accommodation. Although the property was clean and comfortable, we found that it was missing some basic necessities, such as a kettle in the room and a hairdryer.

A wonderful short stay in a beautiful area. the accommodation is in a very peaceful location, ideal for a rural escape but coupled with access to a nice small village with good Gastro Pubs. the hosts made us feel very welcome and were very hospitable and helpful. the breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and the full English breakfast was served very hot. the location is lovely, plenty of local walks and ideally situated for exploring the area. the modern barn conversion is clean and tidy with plenty of space to relax in the lounge room. the hosts advised us on local walks and restaurants and offered a genuine experience.
The single track lanes could be a problem for wider vehicles but were not an issue for us. the weather was a downside but that's just the luck of the draw.

We had a delightful stay at this beautifully converted barn with friendly hosts. the location, overlooking fields and Hay Tor, provided a peaceful and picturesque setting. the rooms were immaculate and the beds incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. the homemade breakfast, including yoghurt, fruit, and a delicious full English, was a highlight. We also enjoyed the company of the horses and Scampi the cat. We couldn't have asked for a better place to unwind and relax.
The only minor issue we encountered was navigating the narrow singletrack road with a large vehicle.

The accommodation was beautifully presented and located in a peaceful and picturesque setting. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made our stay enjoyable. They provided us with useful information about local attractions and dining options. The rooms were clean and tidy, with all the amenities we needed. Additionally, the breakfast served was delicious and satisfying. It was a lovely touch to have a welcome gift waiting for us upon arrival.
Finding the place was a bit challenging as the signposting and driveway could have been better. It would have been helpful to have clearer directions.

The welcome we received upon arrival was warm and inviting, making us feel instantly at ease. the hosts were friendly and treated us like old friends, offering us a delicious cream scone and a cup of tea to refresh after our journey. the barn itself was beautifully presented, with a personal touch that made it feel like a home away from home. the location was also a huge plus, with stunning views over the surrounding countryside and easy access to nearby walks and attractions. a truly enjoyable stay.
There wasn't much to dislike about our experience at this accommodation. the only minor issue was that the WiFi signal may not have reached our room, but to be honest, it wasn't something we really needed or missed.

I recently stayed at a wonderful self-catering cottage in Chagford for a few days. Upon arrival, our host Dave warmly greeted us and made us feel right at home. The cottage was impeccably clean and had everything we needed, including a lovely en suite room with a great bath and shower. The open plan layout downstairs was cozy and comfortable, with plenty of space to relax. The modern decor and spaciousness of the room truly made it feel like a home away from home. Additionally, the full English breakfast served each morning was delicious and perfectly cooked. As a solo traveler, I felt incredibly welcome and at ease throughout my stay. Highly recommended.
Strongly recommend this hotel.
